1. Log in with your UZH account

You can log with your UZH account on https://fractal-beta.mls.uzh.ch/ by selecting “Log in with institutional account”

2. Contact admin to get your account configured & verified

When you initially log in, your account is not configured to connect to the cluster yet and thus cannot run any workflows. This configuration is research groups specific. To get your account configured:

Email Joel Lüthi: [email protected]

Core information to communicate:

  1. Your UZH email address
  2. Whether your group is already using Fractal (see point 3 if not)

[if first account in research group] 3. Sign the user agreement

As billing for the usage of Fractal server is organized by research group, your research group needs to have a signed user agreement with the BioVisionCenter. If you are the first person in your research group to use Fractal, the admin will send you the user agreement before

4. Access to the Science Cluster storage

During the beta phase, you will need direct access to the cluster storage for some purposes. These are mostly for transferring data to the cluster and transferring data back from the cluster (see How to transfer data to/from the Science Cluster scalable storage)

On the cluster, your data will live on a research-group specific share that the admin will communicate to you.
